Millwood Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Business Office Collector to join the team!

 

Millwood Hospital, located in Arlington, Texas, is a 134-bed facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care. Since 1971, children, adolescents, adults and older adults have relied on Millwood Hospital’s extensive and confidential services to help overcome emotional and chemical dependency problems. The Business Office Collector is responsible for the daily administrative and office duties, to include, performing the daily inpatient and outpatient census reconciliation and collection process of the Business Offic.  The duties will encompass account follow-up with insurance companies; patients and their familes to resolve outstanding balances.  In addition, will be responsible for tracking promissory notes to ensure payment are recieved timely, comparing hospital and corporate cash logs, posting daily cash receipts, maintaining daily cash logs,  submitting information to physician's offices for billing, completing daily recurring credit card payments and office duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

 

Experience:  A minimum of one (1) years experience in health care admission processes and collections procedures, and a working knowledge of managed care; interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans; and a working knowledge of computers and business software programs (Excel/Word) preferred.  Minimum of one year experience in data entry.  Must be proficient in 10-key and typing.
